
As her first name indicates, Yoko was born and raised in Japan. However, she has lived and worked in the U.S. and Europe extensively. Yoko has an excellent understanding of peoples, cultures, histories and diverse ways of living. She studied architecture, holds architect’s licenses in Japan and Germany, and worked with many architects, engineers, the U.S. Department of State, its embassies, international schools and other organizations in Japan, Germany, Austria and Italy, as well as in the U.S.
In the past decade Yoko’s interest has been residential interiors and the concept of the great room with integrated kitchen in particular. Her works have won various design awards and were published in magazines (Great American Kitchens, Kitchen Trend, Washington Spaces).
